A man was killed in a head-on crash in Nassau County Wednesday morning.
The 25-year-old driver was traveling in a 2001 Toyota sedan eastbound on Hempstead Turnpike in Uniondale around 10:30 a.m.
Detectives tell News 12 he crossed over into the westbound lanes near the intersection of Glen Curtiss Boulevard and collided with a 2006 white BMW.
The driver of the Toyota, whose identity has not yet been released by police, was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead by a physician.
The 34-year-old man who was driving the BMW and his 34-year-old female passenger were transported for treatment of minor injuries, Nassau police say.
The investigation is continuing.
