Man arrested, accused in violent Sunset Park robbery

Police say Chai Lin, 28, approached a 63-year-old man pulled out a knife and demanded money.

Police say they arrested 28-year-old accused in a violent Sunset Park robbery.
Authorities say it happened on 8th Avenue on Friday night. They say Chai Lin approached a 63-year-old man around 10 p.m., pulled out a knife and demanded money.
News 12 obtained a surveillance photo of who sources claim to be Lin holding a knife. Sources say Lin also pepper sprayed the victim during the attack.
Police say Lin stole $380. The victim was hospitalized.
News 12 spoke with a man who wanted to remain anonymous but claimed to be the victim's son.
"I was so nervous when I heard that. Very said, I was very sad. He's staying at home now, he's in pain," he said.
The charges against Lin include robbery, assault and several other offenses.
