Floral Park residents got a unique surprise this week after spotting a raccoon that got tied up in a soccer net in their backyard.

Animal rescuer John DeBacker jumped into action after he was alerted to the incident.

He said the raccoon nearly got loose with some netting still attached to him, but after a few minutes, was able to contain it and release the rest of the net completely.
