A Nassau County restaurant was badly damaged after a car drove into it Wednesday morning.

The driver slammed into the front of Saltano's Pizzeria in Rockville Centre, located at the corner of N. Park Ave. and Merrick Rd.

The vehicle smashed through the large glass window, scattering pizza boxes, pieces of the wall and bricks all over the floor.

Neighboring businesses say there are frequent collisions at this intersection, nearly once a month.

News 12 has reached out to the Rockville Centre Police Department for more information on the crash and are waiting to hear back.
