A Shirley man accused in a violent road rage incident was arrested and charged with harassment on Friday.
Suffolk police say 41-year-old Michael Nelson punched a driver on William Floyd Parkway near Sunrise Highway around 3:10 p.m.
The victim was hospitalized with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
Police say Nelson was given a field appearance ticket and will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip at a later date.
